Look how far our industry has come! One of our members, BraunAbility,, is celebrating their 50th anniversary and honoring the father of the mobility movement, Ralph Braun.
Back in 1947, Ralph Braun was diagnosed at a young age with #MuscularDystrophy,, and the doctors told his parents he'd never be independent. However, Ralph was already trying to think how to engineer the first battery-powered scooter, and from there, he designed the world's first wheelchair lift installed in an old postal Jeep..
What started as a personal drive to keep his #independence evolved to BraunAbility today. Ralph Braun passed away in 2013, but BraunAbility proudly carries Ralph's #legacy..
It's incredible to see how far the industry has come, and it's great to celebrate all the mobility industry achievements. Whether you are a #NMEDApartner or #NMEDAmember,, we would love to show off your #TBT pictures, so send them our way, and we'll celebrate how far you have come from where you started.
