NMEDA Canada is the certifying body for the nationally recognized Quality Assurance Program (QAP); the only accreditation for auto mobility businesses in North America.

Safety Standards & Guidelines

SAFETY STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES

Mobility equipment dealers must adhere to safety standards and guidelines mandated by the Canadian Government, just like other vehicle manufacturers. Our QAP Guidelines meet or exceed these regulations.

NMEDA Committee & Agreements

QUEBEC GOVERNMENT AGREEMENT

The province of Quebec requires QAP accreditation for any business that modifies vehicles in their jurisdiction.

WC-19 is a voluntary industry standard that establishes minimum design and performance requirements for wheelchairs that are occupied by users traveling in motor vehicles.
